2009 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
We declassified the '09 Reserve Cabernet to Estate level
just before bottling this wine. It was a difficult (and
costly) decision but the right one for the integrity of our
brand - the Reserve parcel just didn't quite make it. The
Estate Cabernet is the big winner though. It's an
outstanding wine, bursting with bright, vibrant dark berry
fruits coupled with savoury complexity and Bordeaux-like
tannins.

This fine Shiraz has a deep and
inky colour, typical of the Hilltops, and the nose offers
aromas of dark berry fruits and fragrant spices. The palate
is rich and concentrated, with a complex array of
blackberry, violet, spice and black pepper flavours,
integrated with soft, fine-grained tannins. Cellar up to 10
years.

2009 MERLOT
A rich, concentrated merlot dominated by flavours of ripe
plums and fruitcake, with subtle spicy oak on the finish.
The mellow, velvety tannins make this a lovely wine for
drinking in the short term but cellaring for up to 7 years
will be rewarded with a more complex and integrated wine.

2010 SAUVIGNON BLANC
Sourced
from Phillip Shaw's Koomooloo Vineyard at 900m asl in the
Orange region - one of Australia's leading sites for this
variety.
This is an intensely aromatic wine, bursting with vibrant
passionfruit, citrus and guava aromas. The palate is lean
and long with bright, generous fruit flavour and crisp mouth-watering acidity on the finish. An excellent food wine
to drink over the next few years.

2010 CHARDONNAY
A
very attractive style with succulent white peach, nectarine
and grilled figs varietal character. The fruit richness is
nicely tempered by the tight structure and fine, minerally/flinty
notes on the finish. Some lees contact and partial
fermentation in the finest French oak has added a creamy
texture and cashew nut complexity but the oak definitely
plays second fiddle to the fruit. A delicious wine to enjoy
now but will improve with several years in the cellar.

2010 RIESLING
This is an vibrant style, with
floral, spice and lime zest aromas, following on to a
complex palate with layers of concentrated citrus fruit
flavours and flinty mineral notes. It's a fine, crisp and
well balanced riesling, making for an elegant wine with good
persistence. Excellent drinking now or cellar 5-8 years for
complex developed honey and toast
characters.

Beautifully bright in colour, it has a lifted nose of fresh
crushed raspberries and rose petals. The stylish palate is
deliciously juicy with fresh cherry and spicy Shiraz
